DENNIS PECK TO SEEK 66TH DISTRICT STATE HOUSE SEAT

Dennis Peck today announced his candidacy for the 66th District State House seat.  This district encompasses all of Jefferson County, as well as the northern townships of Indiana County and Redbank Township in Armstrong County.  After filing nominating petitions with hundreds of signatures from supporters around the district, Peck said he will fight to reform state government and bring jobs to western Pennsylvania.

As a Representative, Peck said that his interest will be in the hard work of governing, not in partisan sideshows.  “Fostering job creation will be my first priority,” Peck said.  “As chairman of the redevelopment association in Falls Creek, I have overseen projects that have boosted the local economy, and I have worked across party lines to come up with real solutions.”  In his work on the redevelopment association and as a Falls Creek borough councilman, Peck has overseen downtown renovations, worked with the City of DuBois on sewer contracts and helped develop a joint transportation and economic plan to boost the region’s economy.  Peck has also worked on the joint comprehensive plan that was completed between Dubois, Falls Creek, and surrounding townships.  He has served on numerous boards and committees for Falls Creek Borough, and was instrumental in developing committees within the borough, including parks and recreation.

Peck, who owns an automotive service center, has served on the Falls Creek borough council for nine years, and as president of the council for six years.  He is a twenty-year member of F.O. Eagles #965.  He and his wife, Diana, have lived in the borough of Falls Creek for twenty-two years and between them have five children.     The Pecks are members of St. Bernard's Church in Falls Creek.  For more information on Mr. Peck, go to www.votepeck.com.
